Dr. George Thomas, DO
Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician
Dr. George Thomas is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized training in therapeutic Botox for chronic migraines and movement disorders. After his own family’s experience with migraines, he founded The Headache Lab to offer targeted, effective care to patients throughout the Chicago suburbs.

How The Headache Lab Began
The Headache Lab was founded in 2015 in Evergreen Park, IL by Dr. George Thomas, a family medicine doctor who was inspired by a deeply personal journey. When his wife, Chrissy, developed severe, frequent migraines shortly after the birth of their first daughter, Dr. Thomas witnessed firsthand how debilitating migraines could be.
Despite multiple oral preventive medications, Chrissy experienced side effects that were often worse than the migraines themselves. Like many women, she tried to “push through,” but the pain and unpredictability made it difficult to enjoy everyday life.

How The Headache Lab Began

At the time, Dr. Thomas was already trained in cosmetic Botox injections. Determined to find a better solution, he sought specialized training in Botox for migraine prevention. His first three patients were Chrissy and two employees who also suffered from frequent headaches.
The results were life-changing:
• Within two weeks, Chrissy’s migraines became less frequent and less severe.
• The two employees reported they no longer missed work or social events due to headaches.
These early successes showed Dr. Thomas the incredible potential of migraine treatment with Botox in the Chicago suburbs.
